Wer kennt das nicht? Zu Musik über Wohnzimmermöbel tanzen.
Dies weitet sich in den Jahren unausweichlich auf einen VW-Bus und einen Wendeplatz aus.

She comes. She gets out. She dances. She drives away again.
Who doesn't know that? Dancing with music over furniture of the living room.
In the years this extends unavoidable to a VW-bus and a turning space.

...In ihrem knapp dreiminütigen Video sieht man, wie die Künstlerin in einem
VW-Bus auf einen Parkplatz fährt, zu Discomusik der 80-iger Jahre ihr Gefährt
umtanzt und wieder davonbraust.
Die Länge des Videos richtet sich nach dem Lied, die An-und Abfahrt bildet
eine Klammer um das eigentliche Geschehen und markiert gleichsam Zeit und
Raum der als Performance zu verstehenden Aktion. Die Choreographie ist
angelehnt an Tanzschritte und Bewegungen lasziven Ursprungs und die Szene
auf dem Dach des Autos legt den Vergleich mit der Choreographie
tabledancender Damen des Rotlichtmilieus nahe.
Diese Überlegung drängt sich regelrecht auf und steht formal in
krassem Widerspruch zum dilettantischem Habitus der Performance - die Unschuld
suggeriert - und dem seltsam unanrüchigen Gefährt - einem VW-Caravan.
Die Anonymität des Parkplatzes wiederum verstärkt die Anspielungshaftigkeit
auf kommerziell-erotische Milieus und kontrastiert die kindliche Verspieltheit,
mit der Rabea Eipperle ihre Aktion performed.
Inhalt und Form fallen somit mehrfach auseinander, wodurch sich die ironische
Spannung erkl&aumlren lässt, die im Betrachter ein Lachen erzeugt, das nicht ohne die
Ahnung auskommt, das es sich um mehr als ein lustiges Video handelt...

... In her three minute video we see the artist driving in a parking space in a VW bus
listening to disco music from the 80‘s, dancing around her car and driving off again.
The length of the video depends on the song and the drive to and off forms a clip
around the actual story and marks the time and space of the action that appears as a performance.
Choreography reminds on dance steps and movements of laszivious origin
and the scene on the top of the car compares to tabledancing ladies of saloons.
This thought catches but opposes the absolutely non-professional clothing in the performance
– which suggests innocence – and the strangely unfitting vehicle, a VW Caravan.
The anonymity of the parking space intensifies the commercial-erotical sphere
and forms a contrast to the childlike play with Rabea Eipperle performing.
Contents and form therefore fall apart, which explains the ironical tension,
which makes the spectator laugh but gives us the idea that this isn’t merely a funny video...
